Hello all,
Just throwing this out there for those of you who might be remotely interested. The Gunfighters will be meeting at Operation Paintball (in Hampshire, IL) on July 18th. At least I plan on going unless something comes up. Show up when you can, we'll be there all day long. We'll be running in the open group, so any and all types of markers are invited out that day. However, if you're playing as a club member, you're highly encouraged to bring out a 'club appropriate' marker. If you're looking for a loaner, let us know and we can get something ready for you to borrow.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all there on the 18th.

Well, this isn't my "official" report on our outing for the 18th, but I thought that I could at least throw something out on the website for those who manage to suffer at our website. All what.....3 of us?
So anyway, the weather was flawless. Clear/mostly sunny skies. Breezy and cool. For July 18th, you couldn't have asked for better weather. I arrived late... as usual. Caught up with Pauly (aka Maximal Prime) and Doghouse Dan. We then added two of the field refs to our number. They love us at OP. Ray and Jeremy always come out and play when we go to OP and then sometimes we even get more of the refs out to play too. They dig out the old rental Trracers that they have laying around and have a blast with us. On top of that a couple of regular guys came out and pulled out their pump markers too. Mike and Ian. They play awesome. Ian is just a killer front man. Glad that I didn't have to play against him. He is 'spot on' with his marker.
Most of the games we managed to play outnumbered almost 2 to 1 at most times. Or it was just a little less. We'll say 1.5 to 1 against pumps (meaning the semi players had numerical advantage to the pump players). Well, anyway, sometimes we did have a couple semis on our side. But for the most part our side was mostly pumps all day and we just took it to them and won almost every game we played. There was some stalemates, but I don't believe that the other team managed to beat us all day. And they had some crazy shooting semis on their side to boot. I don't know what some of those guys do for a living, but they love to spend money on paint!!!!
All things said and done, this was a perfect day of paintball. Would have loved to have had more Gunfighters come out and play, but we all have families and commitments, so I can understand. Not sure when the next outing will be, but if you're interested, check out our MySpace page and scope out the photos of the Gunfighters.
Until next time,
